FISHERIES MINISTER ANNOUNCES HARBOUR FUNDING

Fisheries Minister Joanne Thompson visited the Burin Peninsula on Sunday, August 2nd, where she announced funding for harbour infrastructure.

In a statement Monday, August 3rd, Thompson said the funding will support the repair and reconstruction of the breakwater in Fortune, as well as restoring safe navigational depths in Burin.

Thompson said the investments are aimed at ensuring Small Craft Harbours remain “safe, reliable and resilient” for people across Newfoundland and Labrador.
