Two Evening Collisions in Metro Region Result in No Serious Injuries

St. John's N.L - On Saturday evening (May 17), Emergency crews responded to two separate motor vehicle collisions in the metro region, neither incident(s) resulted in any serious injuries.
The first collision occurred around 6:30 p.m. on Commonwealth Avenue near Richard Nolan Drive. St. John's Regional Fire Department responded to the scene of a three-vehicle rear-end collision. While one vehicle sustained significant damage. No-one was seriously injured.
Less than an hour later, shortly before 7:30 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to a second crash — this one at the intersection of Topsail Road and Hazelwood Crescent. The two-vehicle collision caused significant damage to both vehicles. One individual was transported to hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
Traffic was slowed in both locations as emergency crews worked to secure the scenes and remove the damaged vehicles.
