TWO WANTED PERSONS ARRESTED AFTER FLEEING FROM POLICE IN MOUNT PEARL

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary arrested two wanted persons in Mount Pearl on Sunday after both fled from police on foot.

At approximately 10:00 a.m on August 2nd, The RNC’s Operational Patrol Services observed a 51-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman in the area of Valleyview Avenue. The pair fled from police on foot.

Officers were able to arrest the 51-year-old man on outstanding warrants. He was also arrested for resisting arrest and breaches of a release order. He was held to appear in court.

The RNC’s Police Dog Services were engaged in the search but were unable to locate the woman at the time.

At approximately 2:45 p.m., the RNC received a call to the area of Penmore Drive, where the 50-year-old woman was located and arrested.

She was arrested on outstanding warrants, resisting arrest, and breaching a release order. She was also held to appear in court.
