MAN SERIOUSLY INJURED FOLLOWING WEST END HOME INVASION

A man was seriously injured following a home invasion in the west end of St. John’s during the early morning hours of Saturday, May 16th.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) responded to the incident after a break-in was reported at a residence on Barachois Street in the west-end neighbourhood. When officers arrived, they located a 45-year-old man suffering from serious injuries. He was transported to hospital for treatment and has since been released.

As part of the ongoing investigation, members of the RNC Criminal Investigation Division later executed a search warrant connected to the incident at the same property.

The RNC is investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and are asking anyone with information to come forward. Anyone who may have details related to the incident is asked to contact the RNC or provide information anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
