Woman Arrested After Fleeing Police in CBS

Conception Bay South, NL — A 29-year-old woman is facing multiple charges after a failed traffic stop in the Conception Bay South (CBS) area led to a brief police pursuit on Saturday.

The incident began when officers with Operational Patrol Services (OPS) attempted to stop a vehicle in the CBS region. However, the driver, a woman, refused to pull over and fled the scene, prompting officers to terminate the pursuit for safety reasons.

Despite the driver's attempt to evade authorities, police were able to recognize her and, several hours later, successfully located the woman. Upon her arrest, she was charged with flight from police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and breaches of Court orders.

The woman was held in custody and is set to appear before a judge. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The woman’s name has not been released at this time.
