WOMAN CHARGED AFTER ST. JOHN’S STABBING

A 42-year-old woman has been arrested and charged following a stabbing in downtown St. John’s.
RNC responded to Brazil Street during the early morning hours of Sept. 17, where officers located a man with significant injuries. He was transported to hospital for treatment.
Police say a female suspect, who was known to the victim, had left the area before officers arrived. The RNC Major Crime Unit was called in to investigate.
The 42-year-old woman was located and taken into custody Friday afternoon. She has been charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and uttering threats.
She has been held for court.
