SUV DESTROYED BY FIRE ON WIGMORE COURT

Firefighters with the St. John’s Regional Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire on Wigmore Court in St. John’s late Wednesday night.

At approximately 11:45 p.m. on August 26, firefighters, along with personnel from the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary and NL Health Services, were called to the scene.

When first responders arrived, they were met with the parked SUV fully engulfed in flames with heavy smoke traveling throughout the area.

Firefighters deployed an attack line and quickly brought the fire under control.

An SJRFD Captain confirmed at the scene that there were no injuries reported.

Despite firefighters’ efforts, the SUV was completely destroyed by the fire and a tow truck was called in by the RNC to remove the destroyed vehicle.
