More than $1.6 million is being invested in active transportation throughout Conception Bay South, bringing improvements to outdoor spaces and transportation amenities across the community.

The investment includes $1 million from the Government of Canada and $670,000 from the Town of Conception Bay South.

The funding will support a range of improvements designed to make outdoor spaces more accessible and convenient for residents and visitors.

At Topsail Beach, planned improvements include upgraded washrooms and changerooms, along with accessibility improvements. Worsley Park will receive an accessible walkway and a new dock.

The investment will also bring new bike racks and day-use lockers to the community, as well as e-bikes. Designated rest stops will also be added along the CBS T’Railway, providing additional amenities for people using the trail.

The project represents a significant investment in active transportation infrastructure throughout Conception Bay South.

The Town has expressed its thanks to MP Paul Connors and the Government of Canada for investing in the community.
