(Apr 10) - Construction crews will begin work to the Roaches Line area on Monday, April 13, with traffic control measures expected to remain in place until August 31, 2026.
Drivers should be aware of the following impacts during this period:
• Exit 31 from the eastbound Trans-Canada Highway to Route 70/75 northbound (Roaches Line) will be closed. Motorists will be detoured via Brigus Junction using posted signage.
• Vehicles exiting Mahers Cabin Access Road will not be allowed to turn left onto Route 70/75 northbound. A detour via Brigus Junction will also be in effect.
• Drivers travelling from Route 70/75 southbound to the eastbound Trans-Canada Highway may encounter alternating single-lane traffic through the Roaches Line underpass. Access will remain open, but minor delays are expected.
Motorists are being asked to obey all posted signage, slow down in the work zone, and allow for extra travel time.
The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure thanks the public for their patience and cooperation while the work is completed.
