(Feb 22) ~ 2:10 a.m; Officers with the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) are on scene on the eastbound Pitts Memorial Drive ramp leading to Richard Nolan Drive near Southlands, for multiple vehicles stuck on the ramp in the drifting snow. Please remain away from the area as conditions are deteriorating.

(Feb 22) ~ 12:15 a.m; Deer Lake RCMP advises that the Trans-Canada Highway near Birchy Narrows is closed in both directions due to a single vehicle crash. Crews are currently on scene to remove a tractor trailer, and the highway will be impassable until the work is completed.

(Feb 21) ~ 3:45 p.m.: Some fire trucks have now cleared from the scene on Lake View Ave as crews continue to manage the situation. ~ 3:30 p.m.: St. John’s Regional Fire Department (SJRFD) responded to a fire incident on Lake View Ave. Emergency crews are on scene assessing and addressing the situation. Lake View Ave and Clancey Dr is closed. Motorists are advised to avoid the area while crews remain on scene. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
