Just after 7:00 p.m. on October 21, 2025, police responded to a report of an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) crash along the main road in Ship Cove. A pedestrian had been struck by the ATV and was rushed to hospital by emergency medical crews, where she later succumbed to her injuries. On Wednesday morning (October 22), just after 8:00 a.m., firefighters with the St. John’s Regional Fire Department (SJRFD), along with members of the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) and NL Health Services (NLHS), responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident in the area of 75 Bonaventure Avenue, near Brother Rice Junior High School, in St. John’s.
