The Bay de Grave Regional Fire Department is set to add a new tanker truck to its fleet following an investment of more than $600,000.
The new vehicle will provide the department with additional capacity to respond to fires and other emergencies across the Conception Bay area, strengthening regional fire protection for the communities it serves.
The Department welcomed the funding, noting the importance of the new tanker to both local residents and the volunteer firefighters who respond to emergencies throughout the region.
The acquisition marks a significant upgrade for the department and is expected to improve its ability to respond to emergencies and provide fire protection for years to come.
