MAN ARRESTED AFTER PULLING ALARM DURING DISTURBANCE

At approximately 9:40 a.m. on August 20, St. Anthony RCMP officers were called to the hotel after a guest caused a disturbance during an argument with staff. The man pulled the facility’s fire alarm during the incident.

When officers arrived, the man failed to comply with police commands and fled on foot. Officers pursued him briefly before taking him into custody.

He was transported to the St. Anthony RCMP detachment and later released on strict police-imposed conditions.

The man is scheduled to appear in provincial court on November 24, 2026, to answer to Criminal Code charges of resisting arrest and pulling a false fire alarm.

The investigation remains ongoing.
