POLICE OPERATION - SALMONIER LINE

(April 10th)

~ 3:10 p.m; RCMP Newfoundland and Labrador advises that the police operation in the area of Salmonier Line and Vineline Road has concluded, with one person taken into custody.

Residents and motorists can expect an ongoing police presence in the area as the investigation continues.

~ 2:35 p.m; As the police investigation continues in the area, residents are asked to limit travel along Salmonier Line (Route 90), and to report any suspicious persons or activity to police by calling 911.

Police do not believe there is an immediate threat to general public safety. But, in the interest of police safety, we ask that you refrain from posting images, video and information about police activities online. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

~ 1:32 p.m; Holyrood RCMP NL advises the public of an increased police presence in the area of Salmonier Line and Vineline Road as part of an ongoing police operation.

Police officers are conducting a search of the area for an individual, and motorists are cautioned not to pick up any pedestrians.

The public are asked to avoid the area while officers conduct their work.
