April 7, 2025 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) is currently investigating a weapons offence that occurred over the weekend in St. John’s.
At approximately 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, RNC patrol officers responded to reports of gunshots being fired in the vicinity of Druken Crescent. Upon arrival, officers confirmed a weapons offence had taken place, though no property damage or injuries were reported.
Initial investigations suggest the incident was a targeted event. However, authorities have indicated there is no current information linking this case to a previous weapons offence reported earlier that same day.
The RNC Criminal Investigation Division is appealing to the public for any information or video footage related to the incident. They are particularly interested in footage from Druken Crescent, Drugget Place, and Linegar Avenue between 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the RNC at 709-729-8000.
