The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) has concluded a police operation on Barters Hill Place in St. John’s.

Earlier today (Thursday), the RNC advised residents of Barters Hill Place follow the directions of officers on scene due to an increased police presence. During the active situation, authorities requested that the public refrain from sharing information, photos, or videos of the tactical response on social media to ensure public and officer safety.

At 11:40 a.m., police confirmed the operation had ended and stated there is no remaining threat to public safety. Residents are permitted to resume normal activities, though officers will remain working on the scene.

The RNC thanked the public for their assistance and noted that more information will be released as it becomes available.
