Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP arrested a 38-year-old woman and a 48-year-old man on Thursday after police determined they were each in violation of court-imposed release conditions.

On September 3, officers responded to reports of two unwanted, intoxicated individuals inside a business in Badger.

Upon arrival, police identified the individuals as 38-year-old Misty Burton and 48-year-old Bradley Blagdon. Officers determined that both were subject to court-imposed conditions prohibiting them from having contact with one another.

Both Burton and Blagdon were arrested for failing to comply with their release order conditions and were held in custody overnight.

They are scheduled to appear in Grand Falls-Windsor Provincial Court today, September 4.

RCMP says officers across the province regularly conduct checks to ensure individuals are complying with court-imposed conditions. Police say continued monitoring and follow-up checks allow officers to intervene quickly when conditions are breached, while also recognizing and supporting those who are complying with their conditions.

Anyone with information they wish to share with police is asked to contact their local RCMP detachment.
