RCMP INVESTIGATING RETAIL THEFT; SEEKING INFORMATION

Burin Peninsula RCMP is looking for the public’s assistance to identify a man in relation to a theft from a local retail store. Anyone with information is being asked to contact police.

Late last month, officers responded to a reported theft that occurred on Thursday, August 20 at the Walmart on McGettigan Boulevard. Surveillance cameras captured a man selecting an item, leaving the store without paying and departing in a black Ford truck. The total value of the item was approximately $90.00.

The man is described as white, approximately 18 to 25 years of age, with medium length hair and a moustache. He stands about 5’ 10” to 6’ 2” tall and has a muscular build. He was wearing a grey t-shirt, faded blue jeans, a backwards ballcap and a pair of brown work boots.
