TWO PEOPLE SENT TO HOSPITAL FOLLOWING MORNING CRASH

Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle collision in Donovans Industrial Park Wednesday morning that sent two people to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
At approximately 10:40 a.m. on May 20th, firefighters with the St. John’s Regional Fire Department, along with personnel from the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary and NL Health Services, were called to the intersection of Kenmount Road and Bruce Street in Donovans Industrial Park in Mount Pearl following reports of the collision.
Upon arrival, emergency crews located two damaged vehicles in the middle of the intersection. Firefighters and paramedics assessed at least three occupants at the scene. The driver of a sedan and the driver of a pickup truck were both transported to hospital for further assessment. The passenger of the pickup truck was assessed at the scene.
The injuries sustained by the two people taken to hospital were not considered life-threatening.
Traffic in the area was slowed and partially blocked while emergency crews remained on scene and the scene was cleared.
