45 Year Old Man Facing Charges Following Single-Vehicle Crash

St. John’s, NL – Emergency crews responded to a single-vehicle crash late Monday night on the Outer Ring Road in St. John’s.
At approximately 11:40 p.m. on June 16, first responders were dispatched to the eastbound lanes of the highway between the Topsail Road and Thorburn Road exits. Upon arrival, they located a heavily damaged sedan that had collided with a guard rail.
Paramedics on scene assisted one male occupant to a nearby ambulance for assessment. No serious injuries were reported.
Through the course of the investigation a 45 year old male was arrested and released to appear in court at a later date; for the offences of impaired driving and driving over 80 mg alcohol/100 ml blood.
