Single-Vehicle Crash on Outer Ring Road Sends Two to Hospital

St. John's, N.L. - Emergency crews responded to a single-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon on the Outer Ring Road in the eastbound lanes between Thorburn Road and the Team Gushue Highway.

The incident occurred around 1:40 p.m. when an SUV left the roadway and went down a small embankment. Upon arrival, firefighters from the St. John’s Regional Fire Department found the vehicle with moderate to significant damage.

At least two individuals were transported to hospital with minor injuries, while two others were assessed at the scene. Traffic in the area was slowed for a period as emergency personnel worked to clear the scene and investigate the cause of the crash.
