Dramatic Crash on Carter’s Hill Place

Emergency crews responded to a single vehicle collision in St. John’s early Tuesday morning.


At approximately 12:50 a.m. on February 18, Operational Patrol Services attended a report of a collision on Carter’s Hill Place. Upon arrival, officers located an SUV resting on its side in a snowbank below a concrete wall.


Police say the male driver was reportedly travelling southbound when he was unable to stop due to slippery road conditions. The vehicle went through a guardrail and over an embankment before coming to rest.


The driver was treated at the scene by paramedics and later released. No other injuries were reported.
