Grand-Falls Windsor N.L. – June 25, 2025 — A fast-moving fire on Wednesday afternoon tore through multiple structures on Glenwood Avenue and Oak Drive in Grand-Falls Windsor, damaging three homes and two sheds before firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control.
Firefighters from the Grand-Falls Windsor Fire Department arrived after receiving the emergency call, only to be met with heavy flames and challenging conditions. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, and no injuries were reported at the time of publication.
The Grand-Falls Windsor Fire Department expressed gratitude to all assisting agencies, including the local municipal police, RCMP, NL Health Services, NL Power, Salvation Army, and the Bishop’s Falls Fire Department, which provided critical coverage for the town.
An Investigation into the cause of the fire are ongoing. Residents affected by the fire are being supported by emergency services and local aid organizations.
