Impaired Driver Arrested After Collision with City Snowplow

A 59 year old man has received a licence suspension following a collision involving a city snowplow in St. John’s.
At approximately 1:15 a.m. on February 18, Operational Patrol Services responded to a collision on Columbus Drive. It was reported that a driver had collided with a city snowplow operator.
Upon arrival, police suspected the driver to be impaired and administered an Approved Screening Device test. The result led to an immediate 7 day licence suspension.
The man’s driver’s licence was seized and his vehicle was impounded.
The investigation is ongoing.
