MAN CHARGED AFTER THREE STAFF MEMBERS ASSAULTED ON GEORGE STREET

A 28-year-old man is facing multiple charges after an early-morning assault at a George Street business.

At approximately 2:20 a.m. on February 20, 2026, members of Operational Patrol Services responded to a report of an assault. Police learned that a male patron had allegedly assaulted three staff members during the incident, resulting in one person being transported to hospital for treatment of injuries.

Officers later attended the suspect’s residence and arrested him without incident. He was conveyed to the St. John’s lockup and charged with:

- Assault causing bodily harm x3

- Breaches of two release orders
