MAN CHARGED AFTER VIOLENCE AGAINST INTIMATE PARTNER

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary’s Operational Patrol Services responded to a report of an assault in the Kilbride area of St. John’s Monday night.

Shortly before 10:30 p.m. on August 17th, police received a report involving a female who had reported injuries. The male suspect was not located at the scene.

The 31-year-old accused was subsequently arrested during a traffic stop Tuesday afternoon.

He was held for court and faces charges of assault, violence against an intimate partner, operation of a conveyance while prohibited and failure to comply with a probation order.
