PEDESTRIAN TAKEN TO HOSPITAL AFTER STRUCK BY VEHICLE

Emergency services, including the St. John’s Regional Fire Department, Royal Newfoundland Constabulary and NL Health Services, were called to the scene of a vehicle-pedestrian collision on Tuesday (May 19th), at around 8:10 a.m, after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle near the bottom of the Team Gushue Highway off-ramp to Kenmount Road westbound.


The pedestrian was transported to hospital with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.


Police say the driver remained at the scene and is co-operating with the ongoing investigation.


Officers with the RNC Collision Investigation Team also attended the scene and conducted an investigation into the collision, which remains active and ongoing.
