PICKUP TRUCK STRIKES HOME ON PORTUGAL COVE ROAD

Emergency crews responded to a single-vehicle crash in St. John’s on Monday afternoon after a pickup truck left the roadway and struck a home on Portugal Cove Road.

At about noon on May 25th, emergency personnel were called to the scene on Portugal Cove Road, just south of London Road, following reports that a pickup truck had crashed into a residence.

The home sustained what was described as minor to moderate structural damage as a result of the collision. Despite the impact, the driver of the truck was unharmed.

Officers with the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Collision Investigators attended the scene and are conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
