BASEMENT FIRE QUICKLY EXTINGUISHED CBS FIREFIGHTERS

On Monday morning (May 25th), firefighters with the Conception Bay South Fire Department along with officers from the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary responded to a residential fire on Kerry Avenue in Conception Bay South at around 8:00 a.m.


A passerby alerted the lone occupant of the home after noticing smoke coming from the basement of the residence. The male occupant was able to safely exit the home and was not injured.


Upon arrival, firefighters located a fire in the basement and quickly brought the situation under control.
