ONE PERSON TAKEN TO HOSPITAL FOLLOWING COLLISION

(June 20th)

An individual was taken to hospital following an apparent collision involving a bicycle and an SUV in Paradise on Saturday evening.

Emergency crews were called to the scene just before 6:00 p.m. on June 20th, on Karwood Drive at a crosswalk near Topsail Road.

Upon arrival, emergency personnel found an individual on the ground in front of an SUV. The person was assessed at the scene before being assisted onto a stretcher and taken to a waiting ambulance.

The individual was later transported to hospital with what is believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

During the response, the southbound lane of Karwood Drive was blocked to traffic while emergency crews handled the incident. The roadway has since reopened.
