Vacant Structure Destroyed by Blaze in Conception Bay South; RNC Investigating

On Wednesday night (July 9th), shortly after 10:00 p.m; Firefighters with the Conception Bay South Fire Department (CBSFD), along with personnel from Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) and NL Health Services (NLHS) were called to a large structure fire on Villa Nova Road in the Manuals area of Conception Bay South. When firefighters arrived on the scene they found heavy smoke and flames billowing into the sky. Firefighters quickly deployed muiltple attack lines and established a supply line to battle the intense blaze. After approximately three hours the fire was fully extinguished and under control, fire crews then spent other little while ensure all hotspots were extinguished.
The scene is being held for RNC fire investigators to examine in the morning.
