29-YEAR-OLD MAN CHARGED AFTER DOWNTOWN ASSAULT

A 29-year-old man was arrested Wednesday night in connection with an assault at a downtown St. John’s business.

At approximately 10:00 p.m. on February 25, 2026, members of Operational Patrol Services responded to the report. The suspect had left the scene prior to police arrival but was located a short time later.

The male was charged with assault and breaches of a release order. The victim sustained minor injuries.

He was held in custody to appear in court the following morning.
