Driver Sent to Hospital After Colliding with Parked Vehicle in St. John’s

At approximately 10:45 p.m. on February 5, officers with the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) along with personnel from the St. John’s Regional Fire Department (SJRFD) and NL Health Services (NLHS) responded after a vehicle struck a parked car.

Upon arrival, responding personnel located the male driver involved in the crash. He was transported to hospital by NL Health Services for further assessment. The extent of his injuries has not been released.

RNC Accident Investigation officers were called in to support the response and examine the circumstances surrounding the collision. Topsail Road was closed in the area of General Protestant Cemetary as police conducted the investigation.

The investigation remains ongoing.
