Emergency crews responded to two separate vehicle collisions on Sunday, December 7, resulting in traffic delays in both Paradise and St. John’s; however, there were no serious injuries in either incident.

Just after 10:00 a.m., Emergency crews were called to the intersection of Topsail Road and Paradise Road in the Town of Paradise following a two-vehicle T-bone collision. Both vehicles sustained moderate to extensive damage. Despite the force of the impact, no serious injuries were reported.

Later in the afternoon, at approximately 1:50 p.m., crews were dispatched to another two-vehicle collision, this one at the intersection of Merrymeeting Road and Mayor Avenue in St. John’s. An SUV sustained moderate damage, while a pickup truck involved in the crash sustained extensive damage. Paramedics assessed at least one individual at the scene, though injuries are not believed to be serious.

Both collisions caused traffic to slow in the affected areas as emergency personnel worked to clear the scenes.
