Emergency crews responded to a series of at least 9 separate motor vehicle collisions across the metro region on Friday (Jan. 20), keeping firefighters, paramedics and police busy throughout the day and into the late evening hours. A 52-year-old man has been arrested and charged following a reported assault in St. John’s on Saturday afternoon. At approximately 1:30 p.m., officers with the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) responded to a call reporting that a man was assaulting a woman.
