Man Seriously Injured After Falling From Roof in Paradise

St. John's | N.L. - On Tuesday (May 27) - A man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after falling from the roof of a home in Paradise on Tuesday.

At about 5:30 p.m; Firefighters with the St. John's Regional Fire Department (SJRFD), along with NL Health Services and Royal Newfoundland Constabulary were dispatched to a workplace accident at a home located on Gervase Place in the Elizabeth Park area of Paradise. Reports indicate that the man was working on the roof prior to reportedly falling off the roof. The male was assessed at the scene and was later taken to the hospital by paramedics. Officials say the injuries are considered to be serious in nature.

The incident is being treated as an industrial accident. Officials have not released the man’s name. However the work that was being done to the home was installing new shingles

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
