One Person Hospitalized After Vehicle Crashes Through Fence on Blackmarsh Road

St. John’s, NL — On Thursday (June 26th), Just after 2:00 p.m, Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle collision on Blackmarsh Road, near the St. John’s Regional Fire Department’s West-End Fire Station, between Mercers Lane and Hamilton Avenue Extension.
Upon arrival, crews discovered one sedan extensively damaged in the middle of the roadway. The second vehicle had veered off the road, crashed through a fence, and struck a loader stored behind the fence. Personnel assessed all individuals involved. At least one person was transported to hospital. There were no immediately apparent serious injuries.
Blackmarsh Road was closed between Mercers Lane and Hamilton Avenue Extension for a period while the scene was cleared
