Person Struck by Truck in Sobeys Parking Lot in St. John's

On Friday evening (October 3rd) Around 6:00 p.m., emergency crews were called to the Sobeys parking lot at the corner of Elizabeth Avenue and Torbay Road after a person on a mobility scooter was struck by a truck.

One person was transported to hospital with what is believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

The truck involved sustained only minor damage, however the mobility scooter was heavily damaged in the impact.

RNC, firefighters and paramedics responded quickly to the scene, and the area was cleared a short time later.
