PITTS MEMORIAL DRIVE TO CLOSE IN BOTH DIRECTIONS

Pitts Memorial Drive will be closed in both directions from Friday evening, October 9, to midday Monday, October 12, to allow for the replacement of a culvert as part of an ongoing construction project.

The closure will be in effect between the Heavy Tree Road intersection and the Bay Bulls Overpass.

Motorists are being asked to plan ahead, expect delays on alternate routes and allow extra travel time while the work is underway.

Detour information and signage will be in place to guide traffic safely around the closure.

The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure says the full closure will allow the work to be completed more efficiently and safely, significantly reducing the duration of traffic disruptions that would otherwise be required.
