The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) responded to 257 calls for service in the past 24 hours. Arrests were made in connection with theft, assaults, resisting police, and weapons-related offences. Several individuals were conveyed to the St. John’s City Lockup to be held for court proceedings.


CENTER CITY – THEFT / ASSAULT / RESISTING ARREST

~ 1:00 p.m: On October 21, 2025, officers with the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) responded to a report of theft at a commercial business in the Center City area of St. John’s. As a result of the investigation, a 32-year-old female was arrested and charged with Theft Under $5000, Assault, and Resisting Arrest. The accused was conveyed to the St. John’s City Lockup and held for court.


EAST END – ASSAULTING POLICE / WEAPONS OFFENCES

~ 3:00 p.m: On October 21, 2025, officers with the RNC Operational Patrol Services (OPS) responded to a call for assistance in the East End area of St. John’s. A 37-year-old male was arrested and charged with Resisting a Police Officer, Assaulting a Police Officer, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, and Carrying a Concealed Weapon. The accused was conveyed to the St. John’s City Lockup and held for court.


EAST END – THEFT / BREACH OF PROBATION ORDER

~ 11:30 a.m: On October 21, 2025, officers with the RNC Operational Patrol Services (OPS) responded to a report of theft at a commercial business in the East End area of St. John’s. An 18-year-old male and a 23-year-old male were arrested and charged with Theft and Breach of Probation Order. Both accused were conveyed to the St. John’s City Lockup to be held for court.
