Two Teens Injured After Bear Spray Assault on Freshwater Road

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary responded to a report of an assault on Freshwater Road just before lunchtime on Monday, October 27.
When officers arrived, they found two teenage males, aged 16 and 17, who had been sprayed with what is believed to be bear spray.
Both teens were treated by paramedics at the scene and transported to the Janeway Children’s Hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
The RNC says the investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact the RNC or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
