MULTIPLE PEOPLE ASSAULTED AT ST. CLARE’S HOSPITAL

On Monday afternoon (Oct 5th), Members of the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services responded to St. Clare’s Hospital on Lemarchant Road in downtown St. John’s, following a report of an assault in progress.

Officers spoke with hospital security, who reported witnessing a male assault several people inside the hospital. Security identified the male to officers, who arrested him without incident.

The 31-year-old male was charged with two counts of assault, causing a disturbance, breach of release order, and resisting arrest. He was held for court.
