(June 18th)

Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle collision in downtown St. John’s late Thursday morning. The crash occurred just before 12:00 p.m. on June 18 at the intersection of Lime Street and Cabot Street.

Upon arrival, first responders located both vehicles in the intersection. Both vehicles sustained moderate to extensive damage as a result of the collision.

The driver of an SUV involved in the crash appeared unharmed. However, the driver of the second vehicle required assistance exiting the vehicle and was placed onto a stretcher before being taken to a waiting ambulance.

The injured individual was later transported to hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

The intersection remained blocked for a period of time while emergency crews attended the scene and managed the incident.
