Mount Pearl – Emergency crews responded to a single-vehicle collision late Tuesday morning, October 28, after a sedan overturned on Park Avenue between Worrall Crescent and Rosedale Place.

Shortly before 12:00 p.m., firefighters with the St. John’s Regional Fire Department (SJRFD), officers with the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC), and paramedics with NL Health Services (NLHS) were called to the scene. Upon arrival, emergency responders found a sedan on its roof after colliding with a parked vehicle.

The driver of the overturned vehicle was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The parked vehicle was unoccupied at the time of the incident.

RNC Patrol Services officers secured the area until Collision Investigators arrived to conduct an on-scene investigation. Investigators documented tire markings, the final positions of the vehicles, and searched the area for witnesses or surveillance footage.

Park Avenue remained closed for approximately two hours while police carried out their investigation and both vehicles were removed from the roadway.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary continues to investigate the collision
